1 Conversion with DPP for the change of use and extension of the existing steading to create a modern five bedroom dwelling which will incorporate as much of the existing building fabric as possible. The interior design planned will provide a contemporary living space. Easter Peathaugh steading was built in the 19th century and is all that remains of a larger building complex. It is situated in picturesque Glenisla on an elevated site close to and overlooking the river Isla. The area is popular for leisure activities, with the main access road forming part of the Cateran Trail, a sixty-four mile circular walking route through Perthshire and the Angus Glens in central Scotland. The overall design strategy of the proposed building is to retain the existing windows and door accesses for minimum impact on the features of the existing building. The proposed new build is to be clad in larch boarding which will highlight the extension. The alterations planned are designed to retain the character, appearance and the setting of this traditional building.
